Nida possesses the skills to help small-business owners dramatically grow, improve firm performance, enhance competitive advantage, and achieve sustainability in the long term. Her experience spans a wide range of industries. She has over three decades of experience as an entrepreneur and small business owner in the retail, land transportation, small gold mining claim, banking, accounting, and financial services sectors. She has a solid track record of over 20 years in banking and financial services. As a Registered Independent Agent, she possessed several licenses and certifications in mutual funds, retirement plans, college/education plans, variable and fixed indexed annuities―Series 6, Series 63, life and health insurance licenses, and variable and fixed indexed annuities.

Moreover, she also possesses an extensive background in the nonprofit sector. She always gives back to the community and has participated in numerous community initiatives. She has always excelled in her academic pursuits, culminating with a professional doctoral degree in business, which she successfully completed in three years. She achieved straight As in all her core and specialized courses, making her easily qualify for Delta Mu Delta International Honor Society in Business and Golden Key International Honour Society memberships. Senior executives and colleagues have recognized her for her ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels and other stakeholders, conveying complex topics in everyday language. Ken Awbrey

Ken joined the firm of Tamiyasu, Smith, Horn, and Braun in 1987 and became a shareholder in 2007. Ken is experienced in taxation and accounting for businesses, individuals, trusts, and not-for-profits. He also has an extensive background in personal computers and oversees computerization at the firm. He provides extensive consulting assistance to clients in taxation, accounting, estate planning, and computers. Ken also assists his clients in using QuickBooks online and QuickBooks desktop software.

Ken was raised in Exeter, California. He enlisted in the Navy after high school and earned his Bachelor of Science from California State University, Bakersfield in 1983. He holds a Certified Public Accountant certificate in the State of California. Before joining this firm, Ken worked as a Controller for a construction company and at a public accounting firm in Bakersfield.

Ken is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is currently a volunteer on the security team and facilitates a Bible Study class at Cross City Church. Before joining Cross City, Ken held the positions of Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees at another church and private school and adult leader for the Boy Scouts of America.
